The ABA supports the basic concepts of legislation that would expand coverage for the estimated 50 million individuals who are not covered by health insurance and agrees that there is a need for tracking a patient’s health records in order to avoid repeating costly tests while ensuring the security of such records; as well as prevention to stem costs.
