Impact of House of Delegates 2009 Resolution 102B
In 2009, the ABA House of Delegates passed Resolution 102B, which calls upon state and local governments to address the unmet legal needs of low-income disaster victims. Since it became ABA policy, countless low-income residents of disaster-stricken communities have been helped.
The House of Delegates’ Resolution Impact and Review Committee, which reviews the use, implementation and impact of House of Delegates’ resolutions, highlights 2009’s Resolution 102B:

Urged federal, state and local governments to address the unmet legal needs of low-income residents of communities affected by major disasters by action which includes providing additional emergency funding for not-for-profit legal services providers, bar association and pro bono programs
