Former Legal Opponents Unite, Receive Highest ABA Honor

David Boies and Theodore B. Olson, opponents in 2000 in Bush v. Gore, received the American Bar Association’s highest honor, the ABA Medal today at the Association’s Annual Meeting in Toronto.
“They have changed the entire dialogue,” said ABA President Stephen Zack of Boies and Olson’s work to improve access to justice. “Together they can only be described as a force of nature.”

The lawyers were recognized for their leadership of the ABA Task Force on Preservation of the Justice System.
