ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law Announces Mark T. Banner Award, Accepts Nominations
WASHINGTON, D.C., March 7, 2011 – The American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law has established an award in honor of the late former section chair and celebrated intellectual property lawyer Mark T. Banner. Banner is remembered throughout the profession as an extraordinary writer, speaker, teacher and, innovator in the intellectual property field.
The Mark T. Banner award will be conferred annually to an individual or group who has advanced the practice, profession and/or substance of intellectual property law through extraordinary contributions in areas such as teaching, scholarship, innovation, legislation, advocacy, bar or other association activities, or the judiciary.
Nominations are being accepted through April 11, 2011. The winner will be honored at the section’s luncheon on Saturday, August 6, 2011, during the American Bar Association Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada.
