On Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, I went through New Orleans airport and originally went through the metal detector.
I had to go back and was told to remove my earring and a small vest. After do so I went to trended the metal detector but was told to go through the body scanner.
I politely refused and stated I would rather go back through the metal detector. I immediately received an attitude from every one
of the screener within my range. The TSA person who directed
me rudely told me that I would then have to go through a full body
search. I politely told him fine. I was then rudely told were to stand and she added on "and dont move"... I felt like she was speaking to a 6 year old rather than a 61 year old.

She now have me standing at the very area where everyone is picking up their item when they come through the belt. There is another screener at the very end of that belt asking me if these were my items. Since I now have a line of people between me and my items,
I am trying to tell him over at least five people that I cannot see the items. Nor can
I move towards him to identify the items. The female, them says to me...RUDELY....he is asking you a question not telling you to move. By now
I am really pissed off. This same TSA per on tells my to follow her. She then want to know if
I wanted her to take me somewhere to do the body search( when she said that
I am thinking...will
I have to strip naked just because I did not want to get a body scan). I told her no do what she had to do in frontf everyone. Then this tall black man came over and decided he wanted to aggravate me as well, so he tells her to do what you have o do to her...and he started laughing. I am in tears by now. I then said to her ...this is what yo all put passengers through if they refuse to go to the body scan? She did not answer ...but e tells me she is doing her job...he laughts again. I told him that I did not appreciate him laughing St me and what they were putting me through. He said "that is what I do"... And laugh again. After 30 minutes are so I was destroyed and let go! Needless to say I was a basket case. I travel a lot and have never been treated so horribly ever. So our tax monies are paying these idiots to treat us like this. Simply because our choice is not to have a Jody scan.

In the United Kingdom anyone under 18 is not permitted to go through the scanners because the resulting images of nude children violate child pornography laws. Does Mr Pistole intend to continue flying in the face of common decency and the laws of our country in creating naked pictures of our children?

Will Mr. Pistole please tell us what an "enhanced patdown" is?!? He refused to tell Congress in November. Failing that, perhaps this man can explain by what twisted perversion of logic he claims that we have consented to search, when he won't even say what we are consenting to? Surely the most basic element of consent is to know what you consent to, right?

It's time to stop treating Americans like the enemy and end the security charade. End the virtual radiation strip searches and end the abusive pat downs. I will not fly until this is stopped, the patriot act rescinded and our constitutional rights are restored in full.

As I can't attend, please send my disrespect to Mr. Pistole.

It would be good to ask him to explain the legal basis for electronic strip searches to look at people's genitals before they get on planes, and the followup basis to conduct physical searches with genital touching without probable cause when clear-thinking citizens opt out of a coercive illegal search.
