I have been on this site for a few hours and this is exactly why I can’t find any case Law on any of the issues that I have been looking for. I’m sure the Gangster will put his name on the waiting list to buy a gun and then makes sure it gets stamped or he will refuse to do any violent crime with it.

Please do not include me when you talk about lawyers as a class.
I have been an attorney for 17 years, with prior degrees in Chemical Engineering and an MBA. I have been an NRA Life member for 20+, with an upgrade to Endowment after the 1994 gun ban.
While I was automatically enrolled as an ABA member when I passed the bar, that did not last long when I threatened to sue if they did not purge my name.
Law school was nothing compared to engineering and liberals were the majority in law school; at least as to those that came straight from college with no real world experience.
Any lawyer that is not able to easily read and understand the plain language of the Constitution (especially in the historical context in which it was written)should never have been able to pass the bar.

Its funny how the ABA ruled the California marriage law as unconstitutional, while in the same delegation support more legislation promoting gun control, the added effect of which is infringing on Americans right to bear arms. Good job ABA for so strongly ignoring the U.S. Constitution, the highest law of this country and acting as you please in order to work towards removing fundamental rights from citizens.

The old adage “How do you know if a lawyer is lying? His lips are moving”, has never been more proven. The issues and positions recently taken by the ABA and it’s members speak for themselves. Every distorted pursuit taken on by fabricators of facts will have two or more justifications. Several will be mere pretense and given publicly. Then there are the real reasons, usually concealed. Sad thing is, far too many lawyers are both liars and thoroughly embedded in one of the three branches of government in our once great country. We the people need to take action before it is too late. Get active, learn the real facts and vote them out while it is still possible to vote. Tell your friends and neighbors to vote. It does make a difference! The only vote that is wasted is the one that isn’t cast.

Think of all the money that these “smart” individuals invested in higher education just to end up supporting nonsense like micrtostamping. The members of the ABA House of Delegates are either grossly misinformed, are truly stupid beyond any human comprehension, or have an ulterior motive. What a bunch of morons.

when the day comes that micro stamping becomes mandatory is the day i stop going to gun ranges. there is no way you can pick up every round from a gun that micro stamps shell casings. all it takes is for one would be criminal to pick up a handfull of your brass and drop them at a crime scene and you the innocent gun owner are in hot water, and will have a lot of explaining to do.

It’s amazing that these people think that we uneducated commoners have to led around like sheep and have to be told what’s right and what’s wrong. I’ve been living in the state of Chicago all my life and it sickens me to live under this type of (bought and paid for)leadership.This technology will never work, but it’s part of the liberal and progressive movement to control everything and protect there jobs.

Please stick to supporting your members, and ensuring that they’re qualified to practice law and to protect our rights…Taking a position on social policy/stopping the bigots is one thing – but your organization should not be taking positions on pending legisltion that affects the 2nd amendment…

Kudos on the support for Marriage equality -I am all for that…people deserve to be able to marry no matter how they were born.

But microstamping? You guys are insane, you guys, better than anyone, should recognize that CRIMINALS DON’T FOLLOW LAWS! microstamping will only impose excess cost and onerous burdens on law abiding gun owners….Shame on you ABA.

You do realize that the only lawyers the Bible mentions are those that tried to trap Christ with his own words in order to kill him. I’m not the least impressed with the liberal ABA, or LCAV or the ACLU. You “lawyers” take the term “bottom feeder” to a whole new level.

It’s already been proven in tests, conducted at UC Davis, that microstamping is a miserable failure. How much more evidence do you require before you let it go ? As for identifying a particular gun, if I was a criminal with a stolen gun that is microstamped, I could care less, because all the microstamping does is point to the owner that the gun was stolen from. It does nothing to identify the criminal.
