Urges Congress to amend the Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 (the “Act”) to create a safe harbor provision precluding the assessment of civil penalties against responsible reporting entities as defined under the Act, that rely upon information verified by claimants regarding entitlement to or receipt of Medicare benefits.
