President of National Defense University Shares Thoughts with ABA on Changing Needs in Military Education
Vice Admiral Ann E. Rondeau, USN, and president, National Defense University was the guest speaker for the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Law and National Security lunch meeting January 27, 2010. She spoke about the changing needs in military education as new threats and new missions face our country.
Vice Admiral Rondeau was appointed president of NDU in 2009. NDU is the premier center for Joint Professional Military Education and is under the direction of the chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff. Rondeau has served in leadership, staff and command assignments in myriad mission areas: fleet operations (anti-submarine warfare, air operations, intelligence, maritime transportation and sealift), strategy and policy, training and education, business enterprise and shore installations.
