Attorneys General to Take You Behind the Scenes
Six former U.S. attorneys general will participate in a discussion with Section of Litigation Chair Robert L. Rothman in a special presidential showcase program Friday, July 31 at 10:30 a.m. at the CLE Center.
In “Lessons from History: A Conversation with Former Attorneys General,” the panelists will talk candidly about the issues they faced in the position. Each brings a unique perspective on the top legal job in the country, and all will use personal insights and anecdotes from their days at the helm of the Justice Department to explore the issues and lessons that can help instruct the new presidential administration and the new attorney general.
Scheduled to appear are Benjamin Civiletti, Baltimore; John Ashcroft, the Ashcroft Group, Washington, D.C.; William P. Barr, Washington, D.C.; Edwin Meese III, The Heritage Foundation; Michael B. Mukasey, New York; and Dick Thornburgh, Washington, D.C.
